Sughra`s sons (2021)
World War II... The men of the remote village have gone to war. Sugra, like other women in the village, does hard household chores and raises her children. A small group of war refugees hides in the mountains. After Sugra's son Musa joins them, his younger brother Bakhtiyar establishes ties between the group and the village. After the immoral collective farm manager Barat is killed by a member of the group, Ahad, the Special Service agencies begin searching for the group. After that, a dramatic turn begins for Sugra and her sons.
The film was shot in the village of Sugovushan, Dashkesan district, in November-December 2019.
The film was nominated for the “Asian Pacific Screen Awards 2021” “Best Screenplay” award.
