Fariz Ahmadov

Fariz Ahmadov was born in Jabrayil district.
He received a bachelor's degree in Literary Creativity and Screen Dramaturgy from the Faculty of Art History of the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts (2001–2005, Natig Rasulzadeh's workshop), a master's degree in film directing (2016-2018, Jamil Guliyev's workshop), and a film directing degree from the All-Russian State University of Cinematography (URKU) (2010-2012, Alexander Proshkin's workshop).
He worked as a director at the Azerbaijan State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company (2006-2018), director-artistic director of the "AZANFILM" animation film studio of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism (2012-2015), and director of the "Azerbaijanfilm" film studio named after Jafar Jabbarli (2020-2022). He was the executive director of the Baku International Tourism Film Festival held in Baku (2013-2014). Since 2018, he has been working as a producer at the Baku Media Center.
Since 2023, he has been the director of “Rakurs Film-Media” company.
Since 2015, he has been a senior lecturer at the Department of Film and Television Arts of the Faculty of Audiovisual Arts of the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Art. He is the director and producer of more than 30 feature, documentary and animated films. His films have been screened at prestigious film festivals held in more than 60 countries around the world and have been awarded at more than 50 international film festivals. He has been a member of the jury of international festivals held in many countries.
