Azerbaijan Atabeys (2024)
The film highlights the lives and activities of the Azerbaijani atabeys Shamsaddin Eldaniz and Gara Sungur, who played an important role in strengthening the state in the 12th century. Shamsaddin Eldaniz, the first great atabey of Azerbaijan, led successful wars, reclaimed territories and united the country under his rule. The lowland ruler Gara Sungur, on the other hand, participated in political intrigues and military campaigns to protect his lands and influenced the sultanate. The film depicts their struggle for power, military achievements and complex relations with allies and enemies. The first series of the film is called “Gara Sungur”, the second series is called “Shamsaddin Eldaniz”.
