The last stop (2014)
The film tells the story of a former colonel who ended up in a nursing home. He loses his money in the nursing home where he lives. The events that befall the colonel, who is suspicious of his own friends, become the subject of laughter.
Fikret Aliyev: “When the idea for the film came up, I thought that observation was needed to make the script more interesting. For this reason, I became a “resident” of the “Nursing Home” in Bilgah for 10 days. Of course, no one knew what I was there for except the head doctor. Everyone accepted me as an ordinary resident, I was in contact with people, they shared their troubles with me. I brought the diary I had compiled there, gave it to Ilgar Fahmi, and we added it to the script.”
The film was shot in a nursing home in the Bilgah settlement and in the pavilion of the film studio.
The working title of the film was “The Colonel’s Treasure”.
