Tofig Huseynov was born in Baku.

He graduated from the Drama and Film Acting Department of the Azerbaijan State Institute of Arts (1971).

He played various roles on the stage of many theaters. Since 2001, he has worked at the Azerbaijan State Academic National Drama Theater.

Honored Artist (2009) Tofig Huseynov passed away in 2020.
