Aygun Samadzadeh was born in Baku.

She studied at the Bulbul Secondary Specialized Music School (1974-1985), and at the History and Theory Faculty of the Azerbaijan State Conservatory (1985-1990).

After graduating from the Conservatory with honors and an honorary scholarship named after Uzeyir Hajibeyov, she began working as a teacher at the “Music History” department in the same year, teaching subjects such as the history of music in European countries, the musical culture of Turkic-speaking peoples, and music criticism, and was an associate professor of that department (1990-2016). She defended her candidate's dissertation on the work of the Turkish composer Ahmed Adnan Saygun, and is a Doctor of Philosophy in Art History.
She was a participant and winner of republican and all-union scientific conferences and competitions. He was awarded a diploma in the competition dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of Uzeyir Hajibeyov (1985), a “Gold Medal” for the best student scientific work at the III republican conference, and a diploma of the first degree in the competition held among the countries of Transcaucasia. His composition “Play Victory” won first place in the song competition on the theme “Sports and Olympics” (2008). He composed music for the works of Elchin “The Killer” and Stefan Svejk “The Letter of a Stranger” for the National Drama Theater. He is the author of about 200 songs that have a special place in the repertoire of many singers. Among them are the vocal-choreographic compositions “Tul tree” (Aygun Beyler), “School years”, “Let's tell this world a tale”, “Lonely piano” (Ilgar Muradov), “Bakinsky novel” (Qismet), “Nights” (Azerin), “Rain”, “A tale about Baku” (Eyyub Yagubov), “I miss you so much for your days” (Ilhama Guliyeva), “Sudden call”, “Peshmanam”, “Elegy” (Ayaz), “You are with us” (Ilgar Muradov, Brilliant Dadashova), “Azerbaijan” and “Hazret-i Fatima”.

For a while, he worked as the director of the Music Programs Department on Public Television. Since 2012, he has been the head of the NEFAS Art Center.
