Fikret Aliyev was born in Baku.

He studied at the Acting Faculty of the Azerbaijan State Institute of Arts (1962-1966, Adil Isgandarov's course), and at the Higher Scriptwriting and Directing Courses of the All-Union State Institute of Cinematography in Moscow (1971-1972).

Since 1972, he has worked at the "Azerbaijanfilm" film studio. He is the author of about 20 plots for the satirical film magazine "Mozalan". He worked in the dubbing editorial office of Lider television (2003-2008).

Honored Artist (2005) Fikret Aliyev died in 2016 and was buried at the Amirjan cemetery.
