Zulfiya Gurbanova was born in Sumgayit.

She studied at the Faculty of Drama and Film Acting of the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Art (2003-2007, 2007-2009-master's degree).

Since 2007, she has been working at the Baku Municipal Theater.

She starred in the films of foreign film producers "Arzular" (2005, director Rahbar Qanbari / Iran) and "Bij" (2017, director Daniel Guliyev / Great Britain).
