Veriko Anjaparidze was born in Kutaisi (Georgia).

She studied at the Moscow Drama Studio of S. Aydarov (1916-1917) and the studios of G. Jabadari in Tbilisi (1918-1920).

She worked at the Shota Rustaveli Theater (1918-1920), the Drama Theater under the direction of K. Marjanishvili (1928-1933), and the Moscow Realistic Theater (1933).

She was the artistic director of the K. Marjanishvili Theater, a teacher at the Shota Rustaveli Tbilisi Theater Institute.

In 1992, by the decision of the editorial board of the encyclopedia "Who is Who" (London), Veriko Anjaparidze was included in the list of the 10 best actresses of the 20th century.

People's Artist of the USSR (1950), Laureate of the State Prize of Georgia (1975, 1979), Hero of Socialist Labor (1979), 3-time laureate of the USSR State Prizes (1943, 1946, 1952) Veriko Anjaparidze died in 1987.
