Turkan Huseyn

Turkan Huseyn (Turkan Huseynova / Turkan Siyasatgizi) was born in Baku.

She studied at the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Art, majoring in Cinema Studies (2003-2007), and at the Rustam Ibrahimbeyov Film School (2022).

For a while, she was the editor of the “Cinema News” magazine. Since 2007, she has been engaged in photography. In 2020, she founded “Chinar Film”. She has participated in various international festivals and received awards. The film “Papanin” (2021) was awarded the “Best Documentary” award at the Baku International Short Film Festival, and the film “Last Photo” was awarded a special diploma of the organizing committee of the “Golden Fairy” professional award (2025).
