Murad Muradov was born in Baku.

He studied at the Directing Faculty of the Republican Art Gymnasium (1991-2001), the Film Directing Faculty of the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Art (2001-2005, Rasim Ismayilov's course), and the Film Directing Faculty of the Rustam Ibrahimbeyov International Film School (2007-2012).

While studying at the gymnasium, he made documentary and feature films at the Children's Creative Studio. He worked as an assistant director at Lider TV (2005), Azerbaijan Television (2011), ANS TV (2012-2013), Kultura Plus TV (2014), and ARB TV as a director. He was awarded various awards and the "Youth Award" (2007). He taught film directing at the film directing department at the Republican Art Gymnasium.

Director Murad Muradov is the son of director and cameraman Alakbar Muradov.
