The pearl of Absheron (2012)
The film is about the Mardakan Arboretum, the site of the Institute of Dendrology of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, and the personal garden of Murtuza Mukhtarov, a great philanthropist and oil millionaire, from 1895 to 1920. The plant collections here form a unique landscape ensemble, designed using the best examples of park design and in accordance with the traditions of Eastern and Western architecture.
