Hasanagha Turabov (Hasan Turabov) was born in Baku.

He studied acting at the Azerbaijan State Institute of Arts (1960).

Since 1960, he began working as an actor at the Drama Theater and worked there until the end of his life. For some time, he was the director and artistic director of the theater (1987-2001). He mainly played leading roles in theater and cinema.

He worked as a professor at the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Art.

He was a two-time State Prize laureate (1972, 1986), Honored Artist (1971), People's Artist (1982), and laureate of the "Shohrat" Order (1998). Hasanagha Turabov died in 2003 and was buried at the "Gurd gapisi" cemetery.
