Cinema Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan

Following the issuance of Decree No. 1667 on April 20, 2022, by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, a public legal entity called the "Cinema Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan" (ARKA) was established under the authority of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Subsequently, Cinema Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan was ratified by Decree No. 1880 on November 16, 2022, also issued by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The primary mission behind the establishment of Cinema Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan is to enhance the implementation of government policies in the field of cinematography and promote the application of transparent governance mechanisms. The listing includes ensuring the sustainability of the national cinema, enriching our cinematography heritage, improving the legal framework within the film industry, the nurturing of local talent potential, maintaining the international competitiveness of the national film industry, organizing collaborative film productions, and integrating with the global film industry.

Additionally, the agency aims to attract foreign investments, modernize internal production and distribution infrastructure, promote film culture, and encourage the new type of the medium related information as well as innovative communication solutions in the cinema stage of Azerbaijan.
