A CLOSED SCREENING OF THE FILM "LONELY" (TANHA) WAS HELD
On February 7, a closed screening of the full-length feature film “Lonely” by director Rufat Shahbazov was held at the Union of Cinematographers of Azerbaijan. The film, produced by “KAC Group Media”, tells the story of a woman who lost her family due to her difficult character and is left alone in her old age. The film stars Zemfira Abdülsamedova, Rasim Jafar, Laman Marrih, and Elnar Garayev.
The film’s creative team – director Rufat Shahbazov, chief producer Amiran Babayev, composer Tarlan Mammadhuseynov, actress Zemfira Abdülsamedova, actor Elnar Garayev, and film critics Sevda Sultanova, Aygun Aslanli, Ulvi Mehdi, People’s Artist Hamida Omarova, screenwriter Parviz Mammadov, art critic, screenwriter Nadir Badalov, animation director, and film artist Firangiz Gurbanova – discussed the film after the screening.
Director Rufat Shahbazov said that the film was shot intermittently, over a period of about two years: "The idea for the story was given to me by the life of an old and lonely Russian woman I saw on one of the filming locations during the filming of the series "Ata Ocagi" and who I could not forget."
