A PANEL DISCUSSION NAMED “CINEMA TALKS” WAS HELD

On March 10, a panel discussion titled "Cinema Talks" was held at the Heydar Aliyev Center with the participation of film industry representatives, organized by the Ministry of Culture. First, a video clip on the work done in the field of film industry development was shown. Before the panel discussion, Sabina Bagirova, an employee of the Film Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan, made a presentation on "Production of foreign films on the territory of Azerbaijan". She said that filming foreign films in the country creates new job opportunities for local film specialists and allows them to benefit from international experience.
In his speech, Azer Aydemir, Deputy Chairman of the "Film Industry Development Fund" Public Union, spoke about the "KinoPark" project and the project he presented was related to the restoration of the "Azerbaijanfilm" film studio named after Jafar Jabbarly.
Turan Mammadli, an employee of ARKA, provided information about the "Development of the National Dubbing Industry" project. He noted that improving the infrastructure, using new technologies and training professional personnel are among the main priorities for expanding the dubbing industry and adapting it to international standards.
Later, during the discussion organized within the framework of the action plan of the Ministry of Culture's "Creative Azerbaijan" project, a wide-ranging discussion was held on the future development prospects of the Azerbaijani film industry, current challenges and opportunities for international cooperation.
Speaking at the panel discussion, the head of the sector of the Ministry of Culture, Gunay Rahimova, the chairman of the "Azerbaijan Producers Guild" Public Union, Mushfig Hatamov, the deputy chairman of the "Film Industry Development Fund" Public Union, Azer Aydemir, and the head of the Creative Industries and Digital Development Department of the Ministry of Culture, Rashad Azizov, spoke about the current situation in the Azerbaijani film industry. The speeches touched upon the issues of film production, infrastructure development in this field, and international cooperation. The panel participants shared their views on strategic approaches for the development of the local film industry, state support mechanisms, and work to be done to strengthen the creative environment.
It was especially emphasized that "Cinema Talks" plays an important platform for directors, producers, actors, screenwriters, investors, and other people interested in cinema working in the film industry to establish new partnerships and exchange ideas.
