Zulfiyya Eldargizi (Zulfiyya Ismayilova) was born in Sumgayit, originally from Lachin.

She studied Theater Directing at the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Art (1989-1994).

She taught at the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Art (1998-2015). She is one of the co-authors of the textbook “Azerbaijani Cinema History Essays” (2001). She has a PhD in Art History (2008). She has published more than 100 articles in the press.

She starred in the film “Layla Majnun” (2021, directed by Monty Tiva), produced by “Netflix Indonesia”.

She is an actress at the Irevan State Azerbaijan Drama Theater.

She currently works at the Azerbaijan National Conservatory.

She is also engaged in literary reading.
