Zeynal Jabbarzadeh was born in the Bilgah village of Baku.
He studied at the Labor Faculty (1934-1937), the Literature Faculty of the Azerbaijan Pedagogical Institute (1937-1941).
He worked in the editorial office of the "Balıq Chefhesi" newspaper (1938-1939), in the editorial office of the "Krasny Kurinets" ("Red Kurchayli") newspaper (1939-1940). For a short time he was a language and literature teacher at the Madrasa village secondary school in the Shamakhi region (1940). When World War II began, he was mobilized, became a cadet at the infantry school (1941-1942), and continued his military service in the 416th Rifle Infantry Division with the rank of junior lieutenant. He was seriously injured in a military operation in the Naursk region and lost his hearing and vision. In 1943, he was discharged from the military hospital with the rank of Senior Lieutenant. He was the head of the "Natavan" club in the Azerbaijan Writers' Union (1943-1948), a literary worker at the "Literary Newspaper", the executive secretary and editor-in-chief of the "Pioner" magazine (1950-1977).
He began his creative career at a young age. His first published poem, "Pushkin", was published in 1937. He showed enthusiastic creative activity during and after World War II. His first book, "Khaniman", collected front-line poems (1946). He wrote poems, poems, verse stories and fairy tales for children. Music was composed for his poems.
Honored Worker of Culture (1972), Zeynal Jabbarzadeh died in 1977.
