Zeynab Khanlarova

Zeynab Khanlarova was born in Baku.
She studied at the Baku Pedagogical School (1956) and the Baku Music School named after Asaf Zeynalli (1961).
Since 1961, she has been working as a soloist of the Opera and Ballet Theater. She created the images of Leyli and Asli in Uzeyir Hajibeyov's operas "Leyli and Majnun" and "Asli and Kerem". Her repertoire includes tasnif and folk songs, songs of Azerbaijani composers and oriental peoples. She is one of the first performers of the mugham "Chahargah" among female singers. In 1986, she was presented with the melody "Golden Vali" by the All-Union Gramophone Shafts Company. She has been a deputy of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan for a long time.
Honored Artist (1967), People's Artist (1975), People's Artist of Armenia (1978), People's Artist of Uzbekistan, People's Artist of the USSR (1980), laureate of the State Prize of Azerbaijan (1985). He was awarded the orders "Shohrat" (1996), "Istiglal" (2006) and "Heydar Aliyev" (2016).
