Zarnigar Aghakishiyeva was born in the village of Rustov, Guba.

She studied at the Baku Trade-Cooperative Technical School, at the courses of decorator-artist in advertising at the Moscow Cooperative Technical School, at the Faculty of Drama and Film Acting of the Azerbaijan State Institute of Arts (1968-1972).

She worked for a while at the Teaching Theater. Her first performance at the Academic National Drama Theater was the role of Mamayeva in the drama “The Wise” (A. Ostrovsky) (1973). She worked at the Academic National Drama Theater for a long time (1974-2011).

She was awarded the Order of “Glory” (2014) and the State Prize.

Honored Artist (1982), People's Artist (2000) Zarnigar Aghakishiyeva died in 2018 and was buried in the Guba city cemetery.
