Zemfira Babayeva was born in Baku.
She studied at the costume designer course at the Moscow All-Union State Institute of Cinematography (1990).
She worked as a photo lab technician, inspector of the personnel department, and inspector of the foreign relations department at the “Azerbaijanfilm” film studio (1971-1993). Since 1993, she has continued her activities in the Union of Cinematographers of Azerbaijan. She worked as an assistant to the chairman and a referent and worked there until the end of her life. Since 2013, she has worked as the troupe director of the Baku Municipal Theater.
Honored Cultural Worker Zemfira Babayeva passed away in 2021.
