Vugar Guliyev (II)

Vugar Guliyev was born in Fuzuli.

He studied at the Faculty of Martial Arts of the Azerbaijan Academy of Physical Education and Sports (1993-1998).

He participated in volleyball championships. Since 1993, he has been engaged in the Kyokushinkai type of karate. He was the champion of Azerbaijan (1999), the second in the republic (2003) and the third (2005). He is a 1st Dan black belt master. In 2004, he participated in the Russian championship. In 2005, he was awarded first place in the championship held in the tamashivari type of karate. He is the representative of the Russian Kyokushinkai Federation in the city of Perm and heads the karate sports club operating there. He also acts as a referee in competitions organized by the Kyokushin Karate Federation.
