Vahid Talibov was born in Baku.
He studied at the Azerbaijan State Art School named after Azim Azimzadeh in the Painting department (1966-1972), at the "Artist-multiplier" course at the Central Television (1974-1975), and at the "Higher Director's Course" in Moscow (1979-1981).
Since 1972, he has worked as a phase artist and animator at the "Azerbaijanfilm" film studio, and as a director since 1983.
He has lived in Turkey since 1993. He has worked on various animation projects. His paintings have been exhibited at exhibitions in various countries. He taught animation at the Ankara Maturity Institute.
Vahid Talibov died in Turkey in 2024.
