Vagif Baghirov

Vagif Baghirov was born in Baku.

In 1967, he was hired as a packer in the Development workshop of the “Azerbaijanfilm” film studio. He worked as a mechanic in the cinematographer’s workshop (1970-1975), assistant cinematographer in the set-up shooting workshop (1975-1985), 3rd-class cinematographer (1985-1990), 1st-class cinematographer for set-up shooting (1990-1994), head of the set-up shooting workshop (1994-1998), head of the shooting equipment workshop (1998-2002), mechanic (2002-2008), head of the shooting equipment workshop (2008-2013).

He taught cinematography at the Republican Art Gymnasium (2000-2006).

He is an Honored Worker of Culture (2009).
