Teymur Huseynov was born in Baku.
He began his labor activity in 1913, working in various organizations. He began working in the cinema field in 1924. He worked as the director of the "Red East" cinema (1925-1926), deputy director of the Baku film studio (1946), and head of the Film Production Department of the Azerbaijan State Cinematography Committee (1964-1967). Since 1938, he continued his work as a film director at the film studio.
