Tarlan Babayev

Tarlan Babayev was born in Baku.
He studied at the Cultural and Educational Faculty of the Azerbaijan State Institute of Arts (1984-1988), and at the Higher Courses on “Film Production and Preparation” at the “Fanus Khayal” Film School of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Call of the Islamic Republic of Iran (2007-2012).
Since 1989, he has worked at the “Azerbaijanfilm” film studio, serving as deputy head of the Economics Department (2000-2002), executive director of the “Mozalan” studio (2007-2008).
He worked as a director in the film “Angel Day” (1992, director Behruz Afghami / Iran) by foreign film producers, as a deputy director in the film “Destroyed Bridges” (1996, director Rafiq Puya / USA), and as an actor in the TV series “Russian Translation” (2006, director Alexander Chernayayev / Russia).
He was awarded the “Progress” medal (2018).
