Tanila Ahmarova was born in Baku. She is a Tatar by nationality.
She studied at the Azerbaijan State Theater Institute (1977).
Before acting in films, she worked in various positions, such as a dispatcher, accountant (1967-1972), and head of the Shaumyan Palace of Culture (1975-1977). Since 1978, she has been acting in films at the Azerbaijanfilm film studio.
She starred in the foreign film producers' films "Oranges" (1994, Ukraine) and "Destroyed Bridges" (1996, directed by Rafig Puya / USA) as Jeyran's mother.
Honored Artist (2007) Tanila Ahmarova died in 2015.
