Sadaya Mustafayeva was born in Sheki. During the Second World War, she began working at the Silk Factory. She was brought to the Sheki State Drama Theater as an actress through a person known as Gunabakhan Mukhtar. When Sedaya first stepped on stage, she was only 12 years old. She was assigned the role of Chimnaz in the play “Gachag Nabi” (Suleyman Rustam). Since 1942, she created characters at the Sheki Theater. Then she continued her activity at the Agdash and Goychay Theaters. Since 1950, she has been active at the Ganja State Drama Theater.
She starred in the American-made film “Destroyed Bridges” (1996, directed by Rafig Puya) as Aunt Manzer.
Honored Artist (1958), People's Artist (1981) Sedaya Mustafayeva died in Ganja in 2004.
Actress Sedaya Mustafayeva is the wife of actor Mammad Burjaliyev.
Actress Sedaya Mustafayeva is the mother of theater critic Anar Burjaliyev.
