Sara Nazirova (Sara Oghuz Nazirova) was born in Oghuz district.
She studied at the Azerbaijan State Pedagogical Institute (1961-1965), and at the Institute of Philosophy and Law of the Azerbaijan Academy of Sciences, she completed a postgraduate course in aesthetics (1975). She completed a course at the European International School of Journalism in Lille, France (2002).
She worked as an assistant, junior research worker, branch manager, department manager and senior research worker (1966-1988) at the Azerbaijan State Museum of Art, and in the prose department of the “Azerbaijan” magazine. Her articles and prose works on fine arts were published in newspapers and magazines, her books were published, and her plays were staged.
Honored Artist (2012) Sara Nazirova died in 2014.
