Safura Ibrahimova was born in Baku.
She studied at the Azerbaijan State Theater Institute (1960-1964, Rza Tahmasib's course).
She worked at "Stalinneft", secondary school No. 44, and attended the drama club (1955–1960). She has worked at the Azerbaijan State Drama Theater since 1961. Due to health problems, she left the theater in 2005. She was awarded the Azerbaijan State Prize for the role of Rena in the tragedy "Iblis" (Huseyn Javid) (1984). In 1967, during the Soviet era, she was the first spring girl at a state event during the Novruz holiday.
Honored Artist (1974), People's Artist (2002) Safura Ibrahimova died in 2020 and was buried in the Yasamal cemetery.
