Ruslan Aghazadeh was born in Lankaran.

He studied Cinematography at the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Art (2003-2007).

He is engaged in professional photography, held a three-part exhibition called “Difference” in 2015, and had a solo exhibition at the “Zavod” project of the YARAT Contemporary Art Center. He was awarded 1st place in the “Wallpaper” (Electronic Wallpaper) competition among young people (2017). Since 2011, he has been a cinematographer for many documentary, feature and short films. The film “Insan”, which he directed, was awarded the “2nd prize/award” at the “Jednominutnih” film festival in Croatia (2019). He was awarded the “Golden Fairy” award in the nomination “For Courageous Directorial Work” for the film “Balaja” (2018). He is currently working as a cinematographer in the field of advertising and music videos.

Cinematographer Ruslan Aghazadeh is the son of director Mirsadig Aghazadeh.
Cinematographer Ruslan Aghazadeh is the brother of director Orkhan Aghazadeh.
