Rauf Suleyman (Rauf Mirzayev) was born in Baku.
He studied at the Theater Studies Faculty of the Azerbaijan State Institute of Arts.
In 1968, he started working as a microphone operator on Azerbaijani television. He passed all the director category degrees and continued his work as a higher-level director in 1997. He prepared programs in various editorial offices of Azerbaijani television. He lived in Canada for a while.
Rauf Suleyman died in Toronto in 2026.
Director Rauf Suleyman is the son of director, actor Hasanagha Mirzayev and actress Ataya Aliyeva.
Director Rauf Suleyman is the brother of director Ramiz Hasanoghlu.
