Rauf Dadashov was born in Baku.

He studied at the Azerbaijan State Art School and in Moscow on a course in the specialty of artist-multiplier (1975).

Since 1970, he has worked as a director-artist-animator at “Azerbaijanfilm” and since 1990 at the “Azanfilm” studio.

He was awarded the “Golden Chirag” award in the nomination “Best Animated Film” for the film “The Crow’s Nest and Someone Else’s Lair” (2006).

Honored Worker of Culture (2008) Rauf Dadashov passed away in 2020.
