Rasim Hasanov

Rasim Hasanov was born in the village of Nuzgar, Jabrayil.
He received his secondary education in the village of Horadiz, Fuzuli. He studied film production technology - sound recording at the Leningrad (St. Petersburg) Institute of Cinematographers (1982-1987), and video production and distribution at the All-Union State Institute of Cinematography (VGIK) (1987).
He participated in the “Avanti” project in the South Caucasus with the financial support of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (FOCAL) (2002-2005). During this period, 3 projects he produced (“Keep Smiling”, “Enemies of the Sun”, “Working to Breathe”) received financial support from the Agency.
In 1988, he founded the “Azvideo” Creative Company.
In 1991, he organized the 1st “View from the East” International Film Festival of the Turkic Peoples.
He was the founder and general director of the “Yeni Dalga” Producer Center. He restored 20 animated films produced by “Azerbaijanfilm” at the “Yeni Dalga” Producer Center (2007).
He produced 10 100-second films within the framework of the “1000 seconds on the threshold…” project (2008).
He lived in Kazan, Russia for a while. He currently works in Azerbaijan.
