Ramiz Malikov (Ramiz Malik) was born in Baku. He studied at the drama and film acting faculty of the Azerbaijan State Theater Institute (1963-1967, course of Rza Tahmasib, Tofig Kazimov, Malik Dadashov). While studying in his final year, in February 1967, he went to Armenia with the entire group to restore the activities of the Yerevan State Azerbaijan Drama Theater, which was closed in 1949. When the theater opened its curtains on April 28, 1967 with Jafar Jabbarli's drama "Sevil", he played the role of Balash in that performance. In 1967, he was accepted as an actor into the troupe of the Academic National Drama Theater.

In addition to acting, he worked as a director and assistant director in the preparation of the plays "Yasty Tepe" (Ekrem Aylisli), "Yad adam" (Leonard Frank), "Khurshidbanu Natavan" (Ilyas Efendiyev).

He was awarded the State Prize (1984), the "Artist" medal, the Jafar Jabbarli Prize (2010), the "Shohrat" Order (2019).

Honored Artist (1982), People's Artist (1998) Ramiz Malikov died in 2023 and was buried in the Second Alley of Honor.

Actor Ramiz Malikov is the father of director Anar Malikli.
