Ramiz Hasanoghlu

Ramiz Hasanoglu (Ramiz Mirzayev / Ramiz Drazi / Ramiz Irevani-Bakuvi / Jorj Mirzayev) was born in Irevan. After the Armenians re-incited in 1948, the Irevan Theater collective moved to Azerbaijan. Two-year-old Ramiz first came to Ganja with his parents, and in 1956 to Baku.
He studied at the Cultural and Educational Faculty of the Azerbaijan State Institute of Arts (1965-1971), and the Leningrad State Institute of Theater, Music and Cinematography, specializing in TV directing (1973-1978).
In 1966, he began working as an assistant director at the Azerbaijan State Television and Radio Broadcasting Committee. He was the head of the “Sabah” experimental creative workshop (1993) and “Azerbaijantelefilm” (2019-2020) on Azerbaijani television.
He is the director of more than 200 feature, documentary, and musical programs and films of various genres. At the same time, he directed performances at the Musical Comedy Theater and the National Academic Drama Theater.
He was awarded the “Golden Fairy” award in the nomination “For his contributions to the development of national television” (2015). He is an Honored Art Worker (1989), People's Artist (2006).
Director Ramiz Hasanoglu is the son of actress Ataya Aliyeva and director, actor Hasanagha Mirzayev.
Director Ramiz Hasanoglu is the brother of director Rauf Suleyman.
