Otkam Isgandarov

Otkam Isgandarov was born in Neftchala.
After studying at the Azerbaijan State Institute of Arts for 3 years (1973-1975), he continued his education at the Acting Faculty of the All-Union State Institute of Cinematography in Moscow (1975-1979, Y. Matveyeva's course).
Since 1979, he has been working at the "Azerbaijanfilm" film studio. He worked at the film actor theater studio operating under the "Azerbaijanfilm" film studio.
Since 1991, he has been engaged in pedagogical activities, teaching at the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts, and for some time was the dean of the "Acting Art" faculty.
He starred in the foreign films "Balamut" (1978, directed by Vladimir Rogovoy / Russia) as Magsud Iskenderov, "Naqqal" (1978 / Russia), "The Return of the Butterfly" (1982, directed by Oleg Fialko / Ukraine) as Ludovico, "Lurix on the Stage" (1983, directed by Valentin Küç / Estonia) as Mustafa's companion, "Dreams" (2005, directed by Rehbar Qanbari / Iran), "Lost Share" (2007, directed by Hasan Najafi / Iran), "Misunderstanding" (2017, directed by Ulaş Cihan Şimşek / Turkey).
He currently works as an organizer-pedagogue conducting educational work with children and adolescents at the Azerbaijan State Theater for Young Spectators.
He is an Honored Artist (2005).
Actor Ötkem Isgandarov was the husband of actress Maya Isgandarova.
