Nurlan Hasanli was born in the city of Ali Bayramli (now Shirvan).

He studied at the Faculty of Regional Studies of Qafqaz University (2008-2013), at the Radio, Television and Cinema Department of Marmara University in Turkey (2013-2016), and at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics in Hungary through the Erasmus exchange program.

He worked as a screenwriter in the "Gelem" script group of Khazar Television (2017-2019) and at Mediamaster Company (2019-2020).

Since 2017, he has founded Hogga Magazine.

Since 2020, he has been working as a director and producer at the “Local Pictures” company.

He has participated in many international festivals and workshops with his projects.
