Nuriyya Huseynova

Nuriyya Huseynova was born in the village of Dirniz, Ordubad.
She was brought to Baku as the only winner of the children's music competition held in Nakhchivan in 1981. She studied at the singing department of the Bulbul Secondary Specialized Music School (1987), the Azerbaijan State Conservatory (1987-1992, Islam Rzayev's class).
She taught at the Asef Zeynalli Music School (1992-1993), the Baku Humanitarian College (Baku Cultural and Educational Technical School, 1994). She is a teacher at the Bulbul Secondary Specialized Music School (since 1995), the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts (since 2000).
She is a soloist of the Ancient Musical Instruments Ensemble of the State Museum of Musical Culture of Azerbaijan (since 1995), and the head of the "Dade Gorgud" ("Heritage") ensemble of the Institute of Folklore of the Azerbaijani Academy of Sciences (since 2014). He is the head of the Public Association "Mugham, the Pearl of the World Music Treasury".
He is an Honored Artist (2007). He was awarded the "Progress" medal (2021).
