Najiba Malikova was born in Buzovna.

She studied at the Baku Theater School (1940-1943, Fatma Gadri's class).

At her own request, she went to work at the Ganja State Drama Theater. After performing in several performances there, she returned to Baku and studied at the newly organized Azerbaijan State Theater Institute (1951). During her studies, she played episodes in the performances of the National Drama Theater, and from 1952 she worked at this theater again.

Honored Artist (1959), People's Artist (1974) Najiba Malikova died in 1992 and was buried in the II Alley of Honor.
