Nazim Rza Israfiloghlu (Nazim Rzayev / Nazim Israfiloghlu) was born in Ganja. In 1945, he moved to Baku with his family.
He studied piano at Music School No. 1 (1956), at the Cultural and Educational Faculty of the Azerbaijan State Theater Institute (1959-1964), and at the Television Directing Faculty of the Leningrad State Theater, Music and Cinematography Institute (1966-1971).
He worked as an artistic director at the S. Ordzhonikidze Palace of Culture in the Surakhani district of Baku (1964). In 1966, he began working as an assistant director in the dubbing department of Azerbaijan Television. At the same time, he also collaborated with the music, film program, and industry editorial offices. He was transferred to the position of film director in the “Ekran” Creative Union, which was organized in 1969. His diploma film “Man Saves the Caspian Sea” was awarded prizes at film festivals. Conducted scientific research in the field of Baku oil and the history of world oil. Regularly published journalistic articles in the Azerbaijani press. Published 9 books.
Worked as a course leader in the subject "Directing and acting" at the Faculty of Television Directing of the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Art (1992-1997).
Nazim Rza Israfiloghlu died in 2021.
