Nahid Hajizadeh (Nahid Hajiyev) was born in the Duzrasullu village of Gadabay.

He studied at the Faculty of Philology of Azerbaijan State University.

After graduating from high school, his first job was on television, and he rose from an editor to the position of deputy chairman of the company. He worked in publishing for a while and became the editor-in-chief of the Republican Memorial Book Editorial Office. He came to literature with "Lyric Miniatures" published in the "Ulduz" magazine in 1969. His first book, "I Knew a Mother," was published in 1972. Songs were composed to his poems. His plays were staged in the theaters of Sheki, Irevan, and Baku.

Honored Cultural Worker Nahid Hajizadeh died in 2018 and was buried in the Binagadi cemetery.
