Nadir Azmammadov was born in the village of Narimankend, Shamakhi.

He studied at the film actor course of the “Azerbaijanfilm” film studio, the specialty of drama and film acting at the Azerbaijan State Institute of Arts (1972-1977), and the advanced course of Young Cinematographers in Moscow (1980).

In 1978, he started working as an assistant director at the “Azerbaijanfilm” film studio. He was an employee of the press service of the State Customs Committee, an employee of the press service of “Azerbaijan Railways” (1997-2003), and its head (2003-2016).

He is an Honored Worker of Culture (2017).
