Murad Ibrahimbeyov was born in Baku.

He studied at the directing department of the All-Union State Institute of Cinematography (1982-1989, course of Sergey Gerasimov and Igor Talankin).

He currently works in Russia.

He is an Honored Art Worker of the Republic of Dagestan.

Although he is known in Russia as a comedy director, he has also shot several successful commercials ("Three Bears" and "Doctor Diesel"). He has shot plots for the film magazine "Yeralash". Participated in the filming of the following films:

Russian Version” (2006, directed by Peter Greenaway / Hungary, Germany, Spain, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Russia), in the series “The Border of Dreams” (2009, directed by Vladimir Dmitrievsky) as Timur.

Director Murad Ibrahimbeyov is the son of writer Magsud Ibrahimbeyov.
