Mirza Aghabeyli (Mirza Aghayev / Mirza Aghabeyov) was born in the Buzovna settlement of Baku.

He studied at the Drama and Film Acting Faculty of the Azerbaijan State Institute of Arts (1971-1975).

In 1975, he began working at the Sheki State Drama Theater by appointment. He worked as an actor at the “Tedris” theater under the Azerbaijan State Institute of Arts (1977), an actor at the Azerbaijan State National Academic Drama Theater (1982-1992), a representative of the head of the Azizbeyov district Executive Power for the Buzovna settlement (1992), an artistic director at the “Beri-Bakh” film studio (1994), and a coordinator at the “Sinag film” production center (2008). Since 2008, he has been an actor at the Academic National Drama Theater.
