Mammadkamal Kazimov was born in Baku. He became a member of the circle led by Adil Isgandarov at the Academic National Drama Theater. Adil Isgandarov looked at him and said: “He has a demon in his eyes, he has great acting talent.” He was accepted to the Drama Theater in 1944. During his years of work here, he studied at the studio under the theater. Later, he studied at the Drama and Film Acting, as well as Directing faculties of the Azerbaijan State Theater Institute. In addition to the Drama Theater, he directed performances at the Sumgayit State Musical Drama Theater, the Tanqid Tabligh Theater, and the Ahli-Beyt Theater. He was the chief director of the Aghdam State Drama Theater (1983-1988). He was the organizer of the People's Theater at the Khatai Palace of Culture, the chief director of the “Unfading Stars” Theater of the Azerbaijan Cultural Foundation.

He devoted the last 15 years of his life to pedagogical activity at the Republican Art Gymnasium.

Honored Cultural Worker (1978) Mammadkamal Kazimov died in 2005.
