Melek Abbaszadeh was born in Baku.

She studied at the Baku Choreography School, the film actor faculty of the All-Union State Institute of Cinematography (1990, A. Batalov's course).

After graduating from university, she worked for a year at the Azerbaijan State Russian Drama Theater. In 1992, she won the beauty contest held in Azerbaijan and was invited to Turkey. She won the "Beauty of Elegance" nomination at the "Miss World" contest held in Northern Cyprus with the participation of about 60 countries. She worked as a photo model for "Başak Gürsoy" and other famous agencies in Turkey for about 6 years. During her stay in Istanbul, she performed on stage in the monoplay "Young Girl and the Sea" at the Muammer Karaca Theater. In Turkey, she graduated from choreography courses by choreographer Bilge Tusus. In Turkey, she starred in the TV series "Citizen Ahmed" (1996) and "Endless Paths".

She played roles at the Ibrus Theater (1999-2011). She is an actress of the Azerbaijan State Russian Drama Theater (1991-2023).

She is an Honored Artist (2009).
