Mehriban Khanlarova was born in Baku.

She studied at the Drama and Film Acting Department of the Azerbaijan State Institute of Arts (1986-1990, Melik Dadashov's course).

After graduating from high school, she worked for a while at a children's toy factory (1984-1986). Since 1998, she has been working at the Academic National Drama Theater.

She has been a presenter on TV channels.

She starred in the series "Our Neighborhood" (2000 / Turkey) by foreign film producers as Seda, in the series "Demons and Fairies" (2000 / Turkey) as Leyla, in the film "Lost Share" (2007, directed by Hasan Najafi / Iran), in the film "Raami" (2007, directed by Babek Shirinsifat / Iran).

She is an Honored Artist (2002).
