Masuma Babayeva was born in Baku.
She studied at the Faculty of Drama and Film Acting of the Azerbaijan State Institute of Arts (1972).
While still a student, she performed in some performances at the Drama Theater as a child. Since 1972, she has been an actress at the Young Spectators Theater.
She was awarded the “Artist” (Sanatkar) (2016) and “Progress” (Taraggi) (2018) medals.
