Mammadsadig Nuriyev was born in the mountainous neighborhood of Baku called Sovetski.
He studied at Badal bey Badalbeyov's school, at the Acting Faculty of the Azerbaijan State Theater School (1935-1937).
While studying at the Theater School, he performed in the plays of the National Drama Theater in his first year. In 1938, he played a child role in the play "Honor of the Fatherland" (Georgi Mdivani) prepared by director Aghaali Dadashov. After graduating, he went to the Yerevan State Drama Theater on a secondment (1937-1946). Later, he worked at the Ganja State Drama Theater (1946-1950), the musical comedy variety ensemble under the Azerbaijan State Philharmonic (1950-1956), the Azerbaijan State Musical Theater (1956-1975), and for a short time at the National Drama Theater. He was known among his stage friends by the nickname "Vujud".
Mammadsadig Nuriyev died in 1975.
Actor Mammadsadig Nuriyev is the father of actor Yashar Nuri.
